The study interrogated the link between an assessment of quality control techniques on process designing in selected manufacturing firms in South East, Nigeria. In all, 554 structured questionnaire were administered to staff of different ranks in the selected firms. The data collected with the questionnaire were analysed using Statistical Package for Social Scientist (SPSS) version 20. Two hypotheses were postulated and tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation statistic. The result of the study revealed that follow-up techniques has a significant positive effect on production control. The study also found that there is a significant positive relationship between product ordering technique and needed resource output. It was therefore recommended that follow-up technique should be highly observed for best practice in global manufacturing and product ordering technique along with needed resource output should be strictly observed in practice.
